'Everything is Me'
an exhibition of artwork by Jen Pilles and Erin Candela
An exhibition of paintings, sculptures, collages, prints and photographs which explore the beauty of the universe as an expression of the self, and the beauty of the self as an expression of the whole universe.
"What you do is what the whole universe is doing at the place you call here and now. You are something the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is something that the whole ocean is doing." - Alan Watts, philosopher

Remote Gallery - 568 Richmond St West, Toronto, Ontario
About the artists:
Jen Pilles specializes in plein air painting, and cyanotype printmaking, with a focus on the landscapes of her beautiful Ontario home. Jen’s art is a spiritual practice incorporating mindfulness and gratitude in celebration of nature and in honour of a moment in time. She considers each opportunity to create as a chance to expand the scope of her practice, and learn more about the world and herself.

Erin Candela is a Canadian artist originally from northern BC, currently living in Toronto. Often using historical documents such as photographs, public school books, nature encyclopedias and community journals, themes of Memory and identity are frequently present in her drawings. Ideas of North, Canadian landscape, and portentous depictions of wild creatures and characters are also common and contribute to a scattered and ambiguous narrative.
